Posting an item with PayPal

IMPORTANT: PayPal is currently only available in the app

In order to be covered by the PayPal Seller Protection, it is important that you ship the item to the address provided in the PayPal transaction details after you received payment. Therefore, please discuss shipping costs during the offer process. Most shipping companies offer comfortable calculators on their websites so that you can provide the user with the exact amount. Don’t forget that packing materials and the trip to the place of posting might incur extra costs and adapt your shipping costs accordingly.

Before packaging and shipping an item, please ensure that you received a confirmation from PayPal that the payment has been successful and it is safe to ship the item. This will be confirmed directly in the chat and an email will be sent to the email address registered on your PayPal account.

Furthermore, please also ensure that you document the packaging process with several photos of the item outside and inside the box as well as the sealed and fully labeled box.

When shipping the item, please send it tracked so that you can provide a tracking number to your buyer. Your proof of shipping should contain the following information:

  • Confirmation that the item was received by the shipping company
  • Shipping date
  • Name and address of the recipient

Important: As your buyer has up to 180 days from the selling date to open a dispute on PayPal please keep all proof of packaging and shipping (photos, tracking number, etc.) safe during that time.
