How should I communicate on Shpock?

To communicate with a seller you have two options:

  • Ask a public question (visible for everyone)
  • Make a private offer (only visible to you and the seller)

After both partners have agreed on a price and confirmed the deal, a private chat will open where you can exchange sensitive data like payment information and addresses. DO NOT post sensitive data as a public question, as it is visible to everyone and may appear on search engines.

Please note: Some users want to communicate via calls, SMS or third-party messengers. It is up to you if you agree but please keep in mind that our support team can not help you if something goes wrong and you didn't use Shpock for your communication. We, therefore, recommend using only Shpock for communication.

Further communication tips:

  • Try to think of all questions you may have and combine them into one message to avoid spam
  • Before asking if an item is still for sale you can have a look at the latest response by the seller or check the date of the item listing/last update
  • Be patient because not everybody can read and respond immediately
